Slam Jam x Converse Collection 25/3/21

Converse taps Slam Jam out of Italy for a capsule collection inspired by mountaineering, bringing together lifestyle fashion with utilitarian elements.  Taking cues from an archival 1950s wading boot, the Bosey MC returned to the Converse lineup in 2019, reinterpreted to provide traction. With a water-repellent canvas upper, rugged tread outsole and speed lacing system for easy on-off wearability, Slam Jam expressed a desire to present a style-driven take on the silhouette in both a Hi and Ox cut. Crafted in Lurex ripstop, evoking a rebellious take on the utilitarian silhouette, metallic details and weather-ready rubber detailing complete the design.

Completing the pack, an assortment of apparel for a head-to-toe or mix-and-match look including Ripstop Pant, Long-Sleeve Tee, and Comms Pouch.  Each piece incorporates materials seen in the footwear, like the Lurex Ripstop, and aims to balances matte and shine elements to present a refined collection that balances the outdoors and street style today.
