Nike AF-1 'West Indies' feat. Saldenah Carnival

Nike AF-1 'West Indies' feat. Saldenah Carnival

During the early 2000s, Nike released the Air Force 1 “West Indies” to celebrate the West Indian Day Parade that is held annually in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design emerged in a straightforward fashion dedicated to the West Indies.

Throw on your West Indies AF-1 and join the beat with Nike this year for the Toronto Caribbean Carnival 🎉

We all know the type of energy that the Toronto Caribbean Carnival brings to the city – filling it with sound, colour and dazzling costumes.

Winning their 21st ‘Band of the Year’ award in 2022, Louis Saldenah (Louis Saldenah Mas-K Club) founder and band lead of Saldenah Carnival takes us behind the scenes to showcase the artistry and assembly behind the award-winning costumes for over 40 years.

The Nike AF-1 ‘West Indie’ Yellow drops July 29th online at 10AM EST and in-stores at Yorkville at 11AM if inventory remains (indicated online).

Make sure to drop by our Yorkville location to check out Saldenah Carnival costume on display!
